I'm sitting here thinking about how my birthday is right around the corner (Feb. 6th). SCARY!!! I'll be turning the big 46. Although I don't look my age, feel my age, or act my age, nonetheless, I am getting older. It seems like just yesterday I couldn't wait till I was 18 so that I could hit the bars. Then I couldn't wait till I was 21...thinking I'd be the "shit". Then I honestly couldn't wait till I was 30. I felt at that age I would be where I wanted to be in life as far as a career went and in my personal life. Well, soon I'll be 46 and I have accomplished being where I want to be in life. I have a good job and make good money. I have traveled, experienced and seen many places. I have made good friends along the way, but there is one thing still missing...my best friend, my soulmate, my partner, my wife. Hopefully this will be the year. Isn't there a saying that all good things come to those who wait? If that is the case, I must have one hell of a babe coming my way cause I've been patient as all hell!!!

I heard that i'm patiently waiting on my babe too, I hope she comes soon, my legs are getting tired but i'm still standing, I want to be in love it's been a long time I want that giddy feeling, I want to walk around with that sheepish grin on my face, I just turned 50 and wholeheartly believes my best years are ahead, my life moves at a slower pace, kids are grown and gone, that job that took me away from home for 12hrs. a day is gone, just me now i'm ready.

I'm with you and probably most women here.... waiting is highly overrated and you sometimes feel like you'll be pushing up daisies by the time it comes around! I know I've paid my dues so to speak and I really would like to enjoy a slice of that "pie" before I'm too old. Or have all the single, free spirited women been scooped up already?
